Pre-Season Update

All eyes will be on The Barclays Premier League returning to TV screens this weekend but my eyes will be fixed solely on Inchicore kicking off their new campaign in The LSL Premier Sunday division at Bernard Curtis Park. It will certainly be a step up from the LFL and I for one can't wait to head down and catch some quality Leinster Senior League action.

There were some friendlies played over the last week that unfortunately I was unable to get, however thanks to coach (or is that player coach now) Alan O'Brien I was filled in on some of the goings on.  Saturday saw a win against Glasnevin for the reserves and on Sunday a trip to Portlaoise came with a 2-1 victory against the home team.

Tomo Byrne and his U-21 side learned of their fate in The O'Neills William Sheeran Cup as they were handed a tough draw in a group containing Ballyfermot, Greystones and Ballyoulster.  It's certainly not the easiest of draws but with a friendly against Inchicores reserves tomorrow night lined up anything is possible for the Inchicore fledglings.
