Two balls were not presented that night, however a small gathering in The Black Horse were on hand to see those last two footballs presented to two club legends. First up was Michael Nolan who was presented the ball for his commanding performance all those years ago. Touchingly the final ball was presented to Colchester Uniteds current head coach Joe Dunne, along with a framed photo, on behalf of his father Joe Sr who famously coached Inchicore to glory.

Remembering The Past
This season saw Inchicore celebrate their 40th anniversary in style. Alas I was not around to celebrate with them but last night I was on hand to take part in the final piece of the celebration jigsaw. To pay tribute to the clubs immortals who won The FAI Junior Cup back in 1978 a commemerative set of footballs were presented to the players who took to the field on that historic day.
